Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2025-03-30T01:36Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2025-03-30T01:36:00-CME-001 (version 3)
Source Location: S15E85
Active Region Number: 14048
Note Keyword:
Faint: Faint event; may affect type assignment
FF: Event fails/disappears before exiting COR2
GAP: Data gap
OFL: Outflowing material at the back of the CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
PEA: Post eruption arcade
FIL: Filament eruption
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
BR: Brightening
Morphology Keyword:
L: Loop
Note: A very faint loop-like CME to the southeast. There is a series of consecutive faint fronts, one of which is a bit brighter than the others and has been analyzed as the main front, but this brighter front is preceded by more faint fronts. The source of this CME is possibly the M1.5 flare from AR 14048 (S15E80) peaking at 2025-03-30T01:48Z. This CME is preceded by a narrow jet seen at 2025-03-29T23:12Z. It is possible that the jet is associated with the M1.9 flare, while this CME is associated with the M1.5 flare, both from AR 14048. The exact association with flares is not certain. Coronal signatures associated with the flares are relatively minor but very clear: an opening of field lines on/close to the SE limb seen in SDO AIA 193/171 and GOES SUVI 284 around 2025-03-29T23:13Z, followed by post-eruptive arcades seen on the limb in SDO AIA 193 and GOES SUVI 284. There is also minor ejecta seen in GOES SUVI 284 around 2025-03-29T23:07Z.

Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type

CME Analysis M2M_CATALOG LE true SWPC_CAT -85.0 -38.0 547.0 C 42.0 2025-03-30T07:51Z A very tentative analysis based mostly on the SOHO LASCO imagery and on the location of the source (but to some degree confirmed by a couple timestamps in STEREO A COR2 imagery in which the front could possibly be seen very faintly after the data gap. The longitude of -85 degrees fits better than -80 degrees. 1: Result 1 (2.0 AU)
